Production Operator

The Person
Tau Wire USA Corp is seeking a dependable Production Operator to operate wire drawing, wire coating (insulation/jacketing), and wire rolling equipment. The operator is responsible for producing high-quality wire products that meet company specifications while maintaining safety, efficiency, and productivity standards.
Main responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor wire drawing, coating, and rolling machines according to production schedules.
Adjust machine settings including speed, tension, temperature, alignment, and pressure to meet product specifications.
Load raw materials into machines and ensure proper material feeding.
Monitor wire diameter, coating thickness, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy during production.
Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and testing equipment.
Record production output, downtime, scrap rates, and quality results accurately.
Follow Tau Wire USA Corp and OSHA safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement and meet daily production targets.
Requirements
Flexibility
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
Experience operating wire drawing, coating, rolling, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
